Prof. Timothy Waema of the University of Nairobi
has announced the introduction of an MSc in AI
in September. He made the announcement while
giving an outline of the 7 themes within the
#KenyaAIstrategy as follows: AI digital
Infrastructure, Data, AI Research & Innovation,
Talent Development, Governance, Investments
and Ethics, Equity and Inclusion.
Prof. Frederic Pascal has called for the use and
adoption of AI to leverage productivity while
cautioning against the bias of AI. He noted that
AI can be used to deliver massive education. He
made the remarks during an 8insightful
discourse on the Future of AI in Kenya9 held at
the University of Nairobi. Prof Pascal also urged
institutions of Higher Learning to intensify
Research and Development on AI.
The University of Nairobi Alumni Association (UoNAA) members follow proceedings during the 20th
Anniversary celebrations held at University of Nairobi Towers on 28th March.
